Traditional risk assessment methods may fail to identify all factors influencing system safety, necessitating innovative approaches. This study explores the use of the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) and the Systems-Theoretic Accident Model and Processes (STAMP) in assembly 4.0 contexts to enhance occupational health and safety (OHS) and operational risk analysis. STAMP offers a detailed examination of system components, while FRAM provides a broader view of their interconnections. By integrating these two methods, the proposed FRAM/STAMP approach leverages their strengths to address their individual shortcomings. This novel framework aims to improve risk analysis in assembly 4.0 systems, particularly during the design phase, ensuring safer interactions between humans and machines in the workplace. |
